Biography
Mani Shafiei was an accounting student who was killed by security forces during protests in Eslamshahr. He was shot in the kidney while searching for his father, Mehdi Shafiei, who had been killed by a bullet to the heart just moments earlier. Both father and son were buried in their ancestral village of Chenar after authorities reportedly demanded 500 million Tomans for the return of their bodies.
مانی شفیعی، دانشجوی حسابداری، در جریان اعتراضات ۱۹ دی در اسلامشهر به ضرب گلوله نیروهای امنیتی جان باخت. او که برای پیدا کردن پدرش، مهدی شفیعی، از خانه خارج شده بود، از ناحیه کلیه هدف گلوله قرار گرفت و در آغوش مادربزرگش جان سپرد؛ این در حالی بود که پدرش نیز همزمان در همان منطقه با اصابت گلوله به قلبش کشته شده بود. پیکر آنها پس از پرداخت ۵۰۰ میلیون تومان وجه اجباری، در روستای چنار اسدآباد به خاک سپرده شد.
